Bioinformatician (m/f/d)

Your mission

As our Bioinformatician, you will be the bridge between raw biological data and actionable health insights. You will:

• Build and Optimize Pipelines: Design and implement robust molecular data pipelines for high-resolution epi-proteomic data.

• Innovate with Omics: Apply innovative omics and data-driven approaches to uncover molecular markers of health from large-scale datasets.

• Deploy Machine Learning: Develop and validate ML models (e.g., Random Forest, XGBoost, CNNs) to predict health and lifestyle-related trends.

• Data Management: Take ownership of data processes to ensure seamless data flow from our mass spectrometry platform to our diagnostic tools, utilizing cloud computing and modern data architectures.

Your profile

We are looking for a young, talented professional with a background in bioinformatics or systems biology who thrives in an agile environment. Ideally, you bring:

• Educational Background: A degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Systems Biology, or a related field with a focus on data-driven research.

• Technical Toolkit: Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and Matplotlib/Seaborn, as well as building and deploying data or ML services using FastAPI and Docker.

• Omics Expertise: Experience handling omics datasets or other high-dimensional molecular data.

• Analytical Rigor: Familiarity with feature selection, data preprocessing, and ROC-AUC analysis.

• Data Management Skills: Experience working with relational and non-relational databases (SQL/NoSQL) for storing, querying, and managing large-scale molecular or analytical datasets.

• Agile Mindset: A proactive self-starter attitude with a track record of independent research or project management.
