(Senior) Data Scientist (f/m/x)

To structure, and standardize customer carbon data and manage its seamless transfer into the Tanso platform, we are looking for a ( Senior) Data Scientist (f/m/x).


As a Data Scientist, you will lead holistic data integration into the Tanso platform with a strong alignment to product functionality and customer use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, integrate, and manage additional datasets that enhance the accuracy and coverage of our climate intelligence systems.
• Automate and optimize carbon accounting databases and processes within the Climate Intelligence team to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
• Expand, maintain, and improve Emission Factor Databases (EFDBs), ensuring high-quality, well-structured emission factors are available across the platform.
• Act as the internal subject matter expert for carbon accounting and life cycle assessment (LCA), supporting methodological decisions and product development.
• Upskill and support the broader Tanso team in understanding, managing, and effectively using internal data tools.

Your profile

• More than 3 years of experience in data analysis and data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and AI-based tooling.
• Strong carbon domain expertise, including Emission Factors, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), and GHG accounting.
• Proactively challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement.
• Positive, solution-oriented attitude with high resilience in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Strong ownership mindset with a bias for action and clear accountability for outcomes.
• Product focus, with a clear understanding of how customers use and derive value from the product.
