Position Overview

Join our distributed team in Munich and Rotterdam driving innovation in the agentic AI space for Mendix, a division within Siemens Software. You'll help shape the future of the Mendix Platform by building Agents Kit, our agent building SDK that enables customers to intuitively develop agents and agentic applications. Working on a platform with lasting impact, your contributions will reach thousands of developers and millions of end users globally. You'll move at a fast pace, collaborate with early adopter customers, and deliver full-stack solutions across cutting-edge technologies.

• Build and enhance Agents Kit components, moving at pace as the agentic AI space evolves, ensuring our customers have the tools they need to succeed
• Work directly with early adopter customers to understand their needs and develop the AI portfolio of modules and applications that drive real business value
• Develop full-stack solutions using TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, CSS, and Java, contributing to both the Mendix SDK and customer-facing applications
• Take ownership of code quality and the impact your work has on thousands of developers and millions of end users who rely on the platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile frameworks and modern software development tools, maintaining a focus on thorough problem-solving and clear technical answers
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our collaboration processes, CI/CD pipeline, and product quality standards

Required:
• 5+ years of professional experience writing code in multiple programming languages, with willingness to learn and become fluent in Mendix development
• Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and technologies quickly, with excitement for solving sophisticated technical problems
• Strong ownership mentality regarding code quality and impact on colleagues and end users
• Familiarity with agile frameworks and software development collaboration tools such as Git
• Willingness to work in our modern Munich office once or twice per week in a hybrid environment

• Background in generative AI through education or professional software development experience
• Familiarity with technical concepts such as MCP, A2A, and other agent-building technologies
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, and/or Java
• Day-to-day experience with agentic development tools such as Claude Code
• Experience with generative AI services from cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Our Benefits & Rewards

The salary range for this position is €68,900 to €113,800. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
