Your mission

We are looking for a qualified and experienced accounts payable accountant with potential for further development to support our finance team. With commitment and experience, we ensure that our figures are correct and that the financial statements are completed on time. We need you to further advance our processes in the accounts payable area. You have a passion for accounts payable and closing activities and will be part of a dynamic and growing start-up company. You will actively contribute to the optimisation of our invoice receipt processes, demonstrate your problem-solving skills and show initiative.


This includes:

• Coordinating the invoice process, including employee travel expense claims
• Processing, posting or reviewing incoming invoices and travel expense documents
• Assigning the invoices to the correct account
• Preparing and monitoring payment transactions
• Issuing payment instructions to settle receivables
• Communicating with creditors
• Carrying out the necessary preparatory work for monthly and annual financial statements
  • Maintaining creditor/employee master data
  • Developing processes in the accounts payable area and IT tools further
  • Further development in the area of general ledger accounting (HGB/US-Gaap) is expressly desired

What you bring on the table

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or a comparable field of study
• 7+ years of experience in accounts payable and financial accounting as well as in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Excellent knowledge of HGB and US GAAP
• Proficient in dealing with tax issues, especially in the area of sales tax in an international environment
• Experienced in introducing and documenting processes
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Experienced in a fast-paced start-up environment is an advantage
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and solid experience with ERP systems such as DATEV, SAP or Netsuite
• Strong German and English language skills

Rivada Space Networks is deploying the Outernet: the first unified global communications network. Rivada's global low-latency point-to-point network of 600 low earth orbit (LEO) satellites is a unique next-generation constellation combining inter-satellite laser links with advanced onboard processing and routing to create a ubiquitous optical mesh network in space. This "orbital network," in which data stays in space from origin to destination, creates an ultra-secure satellite network with pole-to-pole coverage, offering end-to-end latencies much lower than terrestrial fiber over long distances.
