Principal Product Owner - Supply Chain Automation

The Supply Chain team is the orchestrator of our operations, connecting demand with the wider operations ensuring smooth and efficient performance while amazing our customers. Within this team, the Supply Chain Product Tribe builds the digital backbone that powers these operations, turning manual processes into intelligent, automated flows at scale. The Product Tribe acts as a bridge between supply chain operations and technology, designing product experiences, data workflows, and automation logic that drive high availability, low waste, and operational speed. We are at a pivotal time as we are significantly broadening the scope of our Supply Chain and will take on some of the most innovative pieces of work that aim to set the benchmark for the industry and drive meaningful impact on our customer’s shopping experience and the bottom line of Rohlik. Role Overview
As Principal Product Owner – Supply Chain Automation, you will lead the developments with a
clearly articulated vision, focusing on moving the needle with speed and building products that scale in an AI era. You will possess a talent for stakeholder alignment, and a bias for automation and autonomous problem-solving. Success in this role means reaching a “hands-of-the-wheel” supply chain operations even at the most complex of moments such as dealing with perishables on changing seasons and weather conditions.
You will work at the intersection of product, operations, technology, and commercial teams to shapehow we integrate with hundreds of suppliers and manage thousands of SKUs per week. This role is pivotal in building a supply chain that is not only responsive—but predictive, autonomous, and scalable and that will shape the future of grocery delivery in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Own the product vision and roadmap for supply chain automation tools, encompassing the
ordering process and inventory management space aiming for a fully automated ecosystem
supported by agentic AI with the aim to drive great CX (i.e., product availability) and
optimize margins.Partner with technology, supply chain, and commercial teams to prioritize, deliver, and
iterate on scalable automated product solutions.Drive adoption of automated workflows (touchless PO confirmation, SSCC-based receiving,
proactive alerting) across suppliers and internal stakeholders.Translate operational pain points into structured product requirements, with measurable
impact on cost, accuracy, or cycle time.Embed forecasting and planning signals into automation logic (e.g., MOQ, shelf life, shrink).
Lead product discovery with a cross-functional squad including vendor managers, planners,
and warehouse operators.Establish and track product KPIs (automation rate, exception rate, PO lifecycle time).
What we would you like to bring:
Demonstrated success building supply chain tech products in complex environments.
Ability to lead through ambiguity and influence, balancing operational urgency with long-
term product thinking.Strong stakeholder management and storytelling skills—you translate between tech and ops
fluently.Solid understanding of supply chain processes (PO, ASN, lead times, warehouse receiving).
Track record translating operational pains into working solutions that drive tangible results
and scale by design.Comfort working with structured data and metrics—proficient in SQL, Excel, or BI tools.
Experience in product delivery (agile, backlog ownership, sprint planning).
What we look for:
5+ years of product management experience, having experience in ordering and/or
inventory optimization is an absolute must, doing so in e-commerce or grocery retail is
highly desirable.Experience with AI and Ops Research in product development is a plus.
Experience working in high-velocity environments is a must.
Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
Fluency in English required; additional European languages are a plus.
