The Retail Marketing Student (internship) - Speedo Mission:
We are looking for a motivated and proactive student to join our Retail Marketing team as a Retail Marketing Student Intern for a 6‑month internship. This role is designed for a student who is eager to gain hands‑on experience and support the execution of retail, trade, and brand marketing activities across the German market.
As part of the role, you will support initiatives that enhance brand visibility, consumer engagement, and sell‑through across key accounts, field accounts, and buying groups such as Intersport. Working closely with EMEA marketing, local sales teams, brand and sports marketing, and retail partners, you will help bring our seasonal campaigns to life in a premium and locally relevant way.
How you'll drive success:
Retail & Trade Marketing Support
Support the planning and execution of in‑store marketing activities across Germany, including window concepts, POS materials, fixtures, trade fairs, and retail takeovers.
Assist with retail and trade marketing campaigns across key retail partners, including field accounts and buying groups such as Intersport.
Support the preparation of seasonal sell‑in and sell‑through toolkits for the German market as part of the go‑to‑market process.
Campaign Execution
Assist in the roll‑out of global and EMEA brand campaigns within German retail environments.
Support product launch activities with key retail partners, helping to align marketing timelines with development and production schedules.
Support visual merchandising initiatives to ensure consistent and high‑quality execution across stores.
Collect field feedback, sales insights, and campaign imagery.
Local Market Activation
Support local marketing initiatives in line with the German and global marketing strategies.
Monitor competitor activity, retail trends, and market opportunities to support continuous brand elevation.
Events & Brand Activations
Support brand and sports marketing teams with events and activations in Germany, including pre‑event organisation, on‑site support, and post‑event reporting.
Content & Asset Management
Support the management of marketing content across content management systems to ensure retail partners receive relevant materials.
Assist with the coordination of retail marketing assets, including briefing, localisation, translation, production, and distribution.
Partner & Internal Team Support
Support communication with German retail partners by helping distribute assets, information, and guidelines.
Assist the commercial team with seasonal showroom set‑ups as part of go‑to‑market planning.
Coordinate sample and asset requests for internal teams and partners.
Administration & Coordination
Support timeline management, trackers, marketing calendars, and campaign documentation.
Assist with preparations for product launches, activations, and partner meetings.
What you'll need to thrive:
Currently enrolled as a student (full‑time) for the entire duration of the internship.
First practical experience gained through internships, working student roles, or university projects in marketing, retail, or related fields is an advantage.
Interest in retail marketing and a good understanding of the German retail landscape.
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
Well organised with strong time‑management and multitasking skills.
Proactive, structured, and eager to take initiative.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Desirable
Interest in fashion, sportswear, or lifestyle industries.
Basic understanding of retail KPIs and sell‑through performance.
Creative mindset with an interest in visual merchandising and retail storytelling.

Final Interview - A final in-person interview at our office, focused on deeper discussion and practical application, giving you the chance to meet more of the team and see Pentland Brands in action.
