Sales Representative
Location: Munich or Frankfurt
We are looking for a talented Sales Representative to join our European Event Sales team. This exciting position, based in Munich (or alternatively Frankfurt), involves extensive travel within Germany and the DACH region to represent Citywire at our industry-leading events and to maintain and build close relationships with existing and potential clients.
As an Event Sales Representative, you will play a vital role in expanding Citywire's client base in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, as well as enhancing our relationships with existing sponsors and asset managers. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy networking, possess a professional demeanor, and have a keen sense for the asset management industry.
What you’ll be doing:
Presenting and explaining Citywire events to new and existing clients.
Expanding the Citywire customer base across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Actively seek new business opportunities and partnerships.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Managing and growing existing client accounts with established business partners
Working independently and as part of a team to exceed revenue targets for events and markets
Maintaining regular contact with event sponsors through in-person meetings, virtual calls, and emails, and specific client events.
Acquiring in-depth knowledge of the European asset management industry.
Representing the Citywire sales team at European events, liaising directly with sponsor representatives.
Working closely with other sales team members and maintaining solid knowledge of all Citywire products.
Engaging in constant and intensive exchange with other Citywire departments, such as Event Management and Relationship Management.
What we’re looking for:
Industry Experience: Experience in sales, ideally in event sales, and knowledge of the asset management industry (or a willingness to learn).
Language Skills: Professional proficiency in German (preferably native speaker) and English .
Sales Orientation: Natural sales drive and excellent relationship management skills.
Consultative Selling: Experience in selling and account management with a consultative approach.
Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for interacting with both clients and colleagues
Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently and work outside of standard office hours .
Proactive Mindset: Self-reliance, a strong work ethic, and a result-oriented approach; ability to work independently in a hybrid/remote environment.
Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent presentation skills.
Time Management: Exceptional time management and ability to work under pressure.
Adaptability: Flexible attitude and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
Positive Attitude: An optimistic, persistent attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
Confidence: The self-confidence to present new ideas and concepts to clients and stakeholders.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and social media platforms for business use.
