Title: Outreach Data & Research Associate (Volunteer)

Location: Remote (Preference for applicants in the U.S. or Europe)

Time Commitment: approx. ~10 hours/week (flexible)

Compensation: Volunteer (unpaid)

Reports to: CFO / Fundraising Lead

Team Level: Global Direct Outreach Team (8-12 heads)

Timezone Context: Coordination with GMT+1 (Germany) and GMT+3 (Kenya)

Role Summary /// EUSMS is seeking a detail-oriented, data-driven volunteer to support our strategic outreach efforts through online research, structured contact data collection, and entry into our Odoo CRM system. As a Volunteer Outreach Data & Research Associate, you will build the foundation for future partnerships, visibility, and funding by identifying high-potential contacts and organizations and ensuring their information is complete, structured, and actionable.

This is not a cold outreach or communications-heavy role it’s about precision, patterns, and pipelines.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Targeted Research & Lead Collection

• Use tools like Perplexity AI, LinkedIn, CSR directories, NGO networks, and government sites to identify aligned individuals or organizations
• Focus on contacts involved in social entrepreneurship, African youth initiatives, CSR/ESG, public-sector development, or content platforms (e.g. podcasts, events)

1. Data Structuring & Entry

• Enter and categorize contact details and organization info into databases using standardized 20+ variables.
• Input clean records into Odoo CRM and tag them by category, geography, and priority
• Maintain data integrity and support deduplication and validation tasks

1. Collaboration & Process Improvement

• Coordinate bi-weekly with the CFO on priorities or targets
• Suggest improvements to data structure or research process
• Optional: assist with SharePoint Lists, Notion boards, or simple workflow automation

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

• C1-level English (reading and writing); German is a plus
• Solid online research capabilities
• Proficiency in Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Willingness to learn Odoo (training will be provided)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with CSR/ESG, international development, or public sector databases
• Prior experience with CRMs (Odoo, Airtable, Notion, etc.)
• Comfort with light automation tools (Zapier, Power Automate, etc.)
