Senior Frontend Developer

Your mission

ImFusion is a R&D consulting company based in Munich. Thanks to our expertise in image processing, computer vision, AI and robotics applied to medical imaging, we help our customers drive innovation in medical technologies. To support our growth, we are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to lead the development of high-quality web applications and deliver intuitive, user-centric digital experiences. In this role, you will take ownership of frontend development for new web applications.

As a Senior Frontend Developer, your key tasks will include:

• Designing and implementing user-friendly, performant, and scalable web interfaces.
• Collaborating closely with product managers and backend engineers to turn requirements into intuitive, polished user experiences.
• Integrating with existing backend systems and APIs, and contributing to overall system design.
• Bringing UX/UI sensibility: crafting wireframes or mockups, making design decisions that balance usability, accessibility, and business goals.
• Mentoring other developers, sharing best practices and helping grow the team’s frontend/UX competencies.

Your profile

We are looking for a candidate who has:

• Senior-level frontend professional experience (preferably 5+ years) with React + TypeScript, modern CSS (SCSS/Tailwind), and web fundamentals.
• Proven experience or strong interest in UX/UI design — not just writing code, but thinking about layout, usability, accessibility, and overall user experience.
• Good eye for design and user flows, able to translate requirements into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
• Solid understanding of frontend architecture, state management, build processes, and performance optimization.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an agile, remote and cross-functional team.
• Proficiency in English.
• Prior experience launching web applications from scratch or revamping legacy frontend architecture.
• Familiarity using UI component libraries (e.g. Material UI).
• Familiarity with testing of UI components using frontend test frameworks (e.g. Storybook).
• Familiarity with design tools (e.g. Figma).
• Familiarity with responsive design, and accessibility best practices.
