Huawei Heisenberg Research Center (Munich) is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.Join us as aAssistant Manager - Contest Management (18-month) (m/f/d)Your missionContest & Talent Management SupportSupport the Contest Manager in managing global top-tier programming, mathematics, and other competitive events across 10+ research centers in Europe, including contest operations, contest talent recruitment, and talent development and value realization.Contest Operations Across EuropeTake responsibility for the planning and execution of contest-related activities across European countries, including but not limited to:Event planning and end-to-end executionCoordination with industry committees and organizing committeesLiaison and collaboration with international contest organizationsCoordination with universities, academic institutions, and other external partnersOn-site event operations and issue resolutionContest Talent Development & Value RealizationAssist the Contest Manager in managing contest talent development and value realization initiatives across 10+ European research centers, helping connect outstanding contest talent with research, innovation, and real-world industry challenges.Your areas of expertiseProject & Event ManagementProven experience in large-scale event management or project operations.Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to take responsibility for results.Highly responsible, execution-oriented, and committed to excellence.Language & Cross-Cultural CommunicationExcellent Chinese and English skills, with both languages usable as working languages in professional settings.Excellent listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in both languages.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.Communication & ExecutionStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.Able to respond quickly and effectively to urgent or unexpected project requirements.Comfortable working under pressure and capable of maintaining high efficiency and quality in demanding situations.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with international competitions, universities, research institutions, or technology organizations.Experience coordinating stakeholders across multiple countries or regions.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Strong interest in AI, technology, innovation, or competitive programming and mathematics.By applying to this position, you agree with our Recruitment Privacy Statement.
