Spacecraft AIV/AIT & Mission Operations Engineer, m/f/d

Location: Germany / Hybrid Employment type: Full-time Seniority: Junior–mid Function: AIV/AIT, Verification, Test, Mission Operations Project-S is looking for a Spacecraft AIV/AIT & Mission Operations Engineer to own assembly, integration, verification, test execution, test documentation, environmental-test coordination, launch-readiness procedures, and early mission-operations preparation. This role helps ensure that the spacecraft we think we built is the spacecraft we actually tested, documented, delivered, and can operate. What you will do Create and maintain the AIV/AIT flow together with systems engineering. Maintain verification evidence, test records, configuration records, as-built/as-tested status, review inputs, and close-out documentation. Write and execute functional test procedures with configuration, step-by-step actions, expected results, pass/fail criteria, redlines, and safety constraints. Coordinate tests such as vibration, shock, thermal-vacuum, thermal cycling, deployment tests, EMC, battery/supercapacitor tests, and end-to-end mission tests. Maintain NCRs, anomaly reports, test logs, as-run procedures, configuration records, and issue trackers. Prepare LEOP, commissioning, safe-mode recovery, payload operations, command procedures, and anomaly-response procedures. What we are looking for Background in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, systems engineering, test engineering, or similar. Ability to write and execute disciplined test procedures. Ability to maintain a verification matrix linking requirements to inspection, analysis, test, demonstration, review, and evidence. Hands-on lab or hardware integration experience with ESD control, clean handling, safe-to-mate checks, connector control, torque control, harness inspection, and configuration tracking. Familiarity with FlatSat, EGSE, MGSE, GSE, test readiness reviews, environmental testing, and mission-operations rehearsals. Apply here:
