Product Manager (m/f/d) - Border & Coastal Surveillance Systems

Shape the protection of borders and coasts As a Product Manager (m/f/d) for our Border & Coastal Surveillance Systems, you will bear strategic responsibility for one of our systems in the area of IAMD (Integrated Air and Missile Defense) and Land Forces. You will combine technical understanding, market orientation, and strategic thinking to develop, market, and continuously improve solutions with operational impact. Your location will be Munich – where we consolidate our activities in the area of Land, Air & Space.

Your tasks

• Responsibility for strategic planning and product development in the area of Border & Coastal Surveillance Systems
• Development and implementation of a targeted product strategy based on market requirements, threat scenarios, and user needs
• Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams (e.g., Development, Sales, Proposal Management, Operations) to define and implement system requirements
• Conducting market and competitor analyses, identifying differentiating features and growth areas
• Sustainment and further development of existing solutions as well as designing innovation paths and new product approaches
• Supporting sales and proposal processes with product strategic input, reference architectures, and use cases
• Representing the system to customers, partners, and at industry events or trade shows

Your qualifications

• University degree in engineering, information technology, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
• Experience in product management of technical systems, ideally in a security or defense-related environment
• Knowledge of military requirements, particularly in the context of border protection, IAMD, or ground-based surveillance
• Strong analytical and strategic skills – you think in scenarios, options, and roadmaps
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills – you can persuade at both technical levels and in customer interactions
• Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness to travel for customer visits, project meetings, and international events
