Master Thesis Student - Channel Coding for Fiber Optical Communication (m/f/d)

Your mission

We're searching for a skilled Master Thesis student with a passion for channel coding to help us design of next generation forward error correction (FEC) codes.

• Get hands-on: Build powerful simulation tools in Python or C/C++ to test and analyze novel channel codes.

• Innovate: Design and develop new FEC codes and decoding algorithms from the ground up.

• Analyze: Run simulations to find the optimal solutions for our next-generation hardware.

Your areas of expertise

• A strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Profound knowledge of channel coding is a must. You should be familiar with communication theory and specific code families like BCH codes.

• Love to code and are proficient in C++ and/or Python.
