You sit at the intersection of deep industry expertise and applied AI — shaping how commodity trading and commodity processing companies in Agribusiness, Energy and Mining reimagine their core operations. You don’t just advise: you co-create, prototype, and deliver AI-powered solutions that generate measurable financial impact for some of the world’s most complex industrial enterprises.

As a senior expert in SAP’s Industry AI organization, you work directly with C-level stakeholders at leading commodity companies in Agribusiness, Energy and Mining — translating their most pressing business challenges into production-ready solutions, grounded in real operational knowledge and a hands-on delivery mindset.

 

What You’ll Do

 

• Bring deep, end-to-end expertise in commodity management — spanning all aspects of the industry supply chains including trading, risk and logistics — to define where and how AI creates the greatest business value for customers.
• Lead discovery workshops and hands-on boot camps with customer business and IT teams to identify, prioritize, and fast-track high-value AI opportunities.
• Drive use cases from first idea to live deployment — defining requirements, building prototypes, setting acceptance criteria, and working side by side with engineering teams to deliver.
• Design future-state business processes and AI solution architectures that translate operational complexity into clear, implementable blueprints.
• Advise C-level and executive stakeholders on transformation strategy, AI adoption roadmaps, and the business case for change.
• Turn customer learnings into reusable industry templates and solution accelerators — building assets that scale across SAP’s global customer base.
• Define the metrics that matter: KPIs, value drivers, and governance models that make outcomes measurable, traceable, and sustainable.
• Mentor and develop senior colleagues, raising the bar for quality, innovation, and industry depth across the team.

 

What You Bring

 

• 8+ years of combined experience in Commodity Management — with deep domain expertise in Agribusiness and/or Energy & Mining, including hands-on knowledge of trading, risk, logistics, and/or supply chain operations.
• Proven track record leading complex, high-ambiguity transformation engagements at enterprise scale — from strategy through delivery.
• Hands-on experience working with AI agents and autonomous AI systems — defining boundaries, integrating with business processes, and measuring real-world outcomes.
• Strong command of business process design and process-to-solution mapping, with the ability to translate operational complexity into structured, implementable architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to advise and influence senior executives on strategic transformation decisions.
• Recognized — internally or externally — as a trusted voice in your field: through published work, speaking engagements, client references, or community leadership.
• A practical, forward-looking approach to AI: you apply AI tools in your own workflows and think critically about how they change the nature of the work.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to align and energize executive, business, and engineering teams alike.
