Principal Engineer - Processor Architecture  (m/f/d)

Your mission

• Explore and optimize processor micro-architecture for baseband applications.

• Innovate and develop methodologies to optimize micro-architecture for specific applications.

• Analyze the latest industrial and academic processor architectures, evaluating trade-offs in power, performance and area.

• Develop micro-architecture models for quantitative performance benchmarking.

Your areas of expertise

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Architecture, Electronical/Electronics Engineering or related field.

• Strong understanding of computer architectures, architecture modeling and their physical implementation implications.

• Proven experience in processor design and implementation. Knowledge of VLIW and ASIP design tools is a big plus.

• Solid understanding of computer systems, including SoC interconnects, memories, compilers and C/Assembly programming.

• Proficiency in highly efficient programming with Assembly, C, Python and hardware description languages such as Verilog/VHDL/Chisel etc.

• Hands-on experience working in Linux environment without IDEs; ability to quickly adapt and integrate open- source projects. Proficiency with Git version control and open-source software/hardware build flows.

• Excellent intercultural communication skills and professional leadership. Ability to work in a multicultural and cross-functional teams.

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
