Operations, Process & People Leadership (Tax Oversight), Managing Director - State Street Corporation
Who we are looking for
This role is designed for a dynamic leader with a strong background in operational excellence, process optimization, and people management. While a foundational understanding of tax processes is beneficial, the emphasis is on driving execution, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across tax-related operations.
Work location will be Germany
What you will be responsible for
- Lead and coordinate operational execution across tax-related processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and simplification of workflows.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Managing client relationships with a strong focus on collaboration and adherence to SLAs.
- Act as the primary interface between tax operations and key stakeholders.
- Oversee service delivery from external vendors, including performance tracking and issue resolution.
- Ensure adherence to internal procedures and contribute to the evolution of the Target Operating Model (TOM).
- Support strategic projects and transformation initiatives.
What we value

- Proven track record in operations or process management.
- 10+ years experience in a related role
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experienced in handling challenging clients through expertise, communication, and relationship management.
- Driving a strong risk and control environment including conduct, ethical behaviour and risk excellence / speak up culture
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with tax operations or financial reporting is a plus.
- Fluent in English & German
