About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Circus, you will design, develop, and implement the electrical systems that power our modular robotic kitchen platforms. You will play a critical role in ensuring safety, performance, compliance, and reliability across the product lifecycle, from early R&D to deployment and industrialization.
You will work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Prototyping, Software, and Supply Chain teams to integrate solutions seamlessly, while applying your expertise in electrical system design, standards compliance, and system integration.

Your Daily Business

• Design and implement scalable electrical architectures and installations for internal testbeds, product platforms, and field systems
• Drive compliance with safety and quality standards (e.g. DIN VDE, DGUV, BetrSichV)
• Support the definition and execution of testing and inspection processes, including DGUV V3 protocols and audit documentation
• Create CAD-based electrical plans and schematics, ideally using EPLAN or AutoCAD
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical, Software, Prototyping, and Supply Chain teams to ensure robust, well-integrated solutions
• Interface with suppliers, contractors, and external experts to support execution and technical validation
• Contribute to bridging the gap between early R&D concepts and manufacturable solutions

Base Qualifications

Technical Qualifications

• Certified Master Electrician, Technician, or completed university degree in Electrical Engineering
• Strong experience across electrical planning, installation, testing, and execution of projects
• Solid knowledge of relevant German standards and regulations (DIN VDE, DGUV, BetrSichV)
• High proficiency in electrical CAD and technical documentation (EPLAN, AutoCAD or similar)

Execution & Problem Solving

• Proven hands-on track record in designing and delivering electrical systems in multidisciplinary projects
• Experience supporting the transition from product development to industrial deployment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively in fast-paced environments

Collaboration & Communication

• Strong communicator who works effectively in cross-functional teams
• Comfortable collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Deployment stakeholders
• Fluent in German and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience with modular systems or automation/robotics applications
• Familiarity with supplier or vendor interaction during hardware development
