Intern Battery Software Development Full Stack (f/m/x)

We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the field of battery technology. Our cross-disciplinary team evaluates next-generation battery cells and subcomponents for automotive applications. During your internship, you will gain hands-on experience in battery software development with a focus on full-stack solutions, contributing to the future of electromobility.

What awaits you?

• You will support our agile development team by utilizing agile and state-of-the-art methodologies.
• Moreover, you will help to sketch concepts and ideas for frontend, backend, and SQL database development, and contribute to designing and evaluating solutions.
• In addition, you will assist in implementing and testing software solutions based on practical cases.
• Furthermore, you will support developing concepts for GUIs and templates to facilitate the use of implemented software solutions.
• Moreover, you will help to test the performance of the implemented software solution.

What should you bring along?

• Studies in information technology, web engineering, computer science or a related field.
• Extensive experience as a full stack developer and in web design with React JS, Node JS, TypeScript, TypeORM and other web programming languages or frameworks.
• Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger or Postman is advantageous.
• Very good experience with databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Good experience with development environments like Confluence, Jira and BitBucket.
• Knowledge of Microsoft PowerApps to link with web-based applications is a plus.
• Business-fluent English skills.
