Aufgaben

As one of our first hires, you'll have unprecedented technical autonomy to architect novel AI systems from the ground up, working directly with founders who understand that breakthrough AI requires both deep technical expertise and creative freedom.

You'll be solving genuinely hard AI problems that don't have established solutions—the kind that require reading papers, prototyping novel approaches, and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in production systems.

• Design novel AI architectures: Build production agentic systems that go far beyond simple LLM wrappers—create sophisticated multi-agent workflows with custom reasoning, memory, and tool-use patterns.
• Push the limits of multimodal AI: Work with some of the most challenging unstructured data you've encountered (construction documents, images…) and develop novel approaches to extract structured insights at scale.
• Own the full research-to-production pipeline: From experimenting with cutting-edge techniques to building robust evaluation frameworks to optimizing inference at scale—you control the entire technical journey.
• Build AI-first infrastructure: Design and implement novel data pipelines, vector architectures, and evaluation systems that enable rapid experimentation while maintaining production reliability.

You'll be working closely with Vinzenz (CTO) and Ann (CPO) - both technical founders who understand that great AI requires both deep technical investment and product intuition.

Qualifikation

This is the perfect role for an AI engineer who wants to join an early-stage company and push the boundaries of what's possible with AI in construction.

Must-Haves:

• C1 fluency in German – You'll work with complex construction industry data and need to understand domain nuances to build effective AI systems that actually solve real problems.
• 2+ years building production AI systems – You've shipped AI features that real users depend on, not just experimented with APIs. You understand the gap between "demo magic" and production reliability.
• TypeScript proficiency – When your AI system needs a frontend interface or API integration, you can build it without waiting for other team members.
• Shipping velocity – You prototype fast, measure everything, and iterate based on real user feedback . When you say "I'll build an AI feature to solve this," it ships within days, not months.

Bonus Points:

• Previous startup experience – especially if you were the "AI person" who had to figure everything out
• Domain expertise in construction, manufacturing, or other complex industries with messy data
• Open source contributions or impressive side projects in AI/ML
• You've built AI systems that replaced hours of manual work – show us the impact
