THE TEAM AND ROLE

We're looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer (all genders) to join our infrastructure team and take ownership of deploying and operating our software across both cloud and clinical environments.

In this role, you will not only drive technical excellence in infrastructure and operations, but also lead and develop the DevOps function. You'll work closely with developers, product teams, and leadership to ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and reliable, while setting standards and guiding the team.

This role is critical in shaping how we build, deploy, and operate healthcare software at scale.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and develop the DevOps team, including mentoring, hiring, and setting best practices

• Own the infrastructure strategy across cloud and on-premise (clinical) environments

• Design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available systems

• Drive CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure-as-code across the organization

• Collaborate closely with engineering and product to enable efficient and reliable delivery

• Establish and improve observability, incident response, and fault tolerance practices

• Ensure compliance, security, and reliability in clinical environments

• Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve performance, tooling, and processes

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience

• Strong experience in DevOps / infrastructure roles, ideally in scalable or production-critical systems

• Experience in leading or mentoring DevOps teams, with the ability to guide and grow engineers

• Deep expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and Linux environments

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (eg Terraform, Ansible) and modern DevOps toolchains

• Strong understanding of monitoring, alerting, and logging systems

• Experience in leading or mentoring engineers

• Strong ownership mindset and hands-on problem-solving approach

• Interested in working in a fast-paced, high-impact environment

• Fluent English required; German is a plus but not required
