Principal of Poultry Applications (f/m/d)

• Start date: January 2026

• Yearly Salary: €120,000 - €135,000 (fixed range, annual gross)

• Stock Options: €120,000 - €180,000

• Benefits: up to €5,000 annually

• Work Model: Full-time, hybrid (based in Munich)

• Travel: Frequent travel required (50%)

Your role

As Principal of Poultry Applications , you will lead and build our innovative applications in the field of aviculture. Using your strong data analytics skills, you will collaborate closely with industry experts to identify the impact and value of our upcoming technological developments and devise strategies for each case. Additionally, you will establish and strengthen internal and external collaborations, including customer relationships, to enable key processes that create significant value and impact in aviculture.

Your day-to-day

You will be focusing on the following areas:

• Identifying new applications, by being at the forefront of technological developments in poultry, you build a deep understanding of the critical challenges of the industry.

• Establishing collaborations, forming strategic partnerships with the industry as well as research institutions to leverage the expertise and resources, and mutually unfold knowledge potential.

• Conducting strategic assessments of new opportunities, identifying those with the highest impact and potential.

• External representation, leading efforts in publications relevant to technological developments and innovation, as well as representing Orbem in fairs and conferences.

• Spearheading through ownership Orbem’s efforts in bringing new poultry applications into the market.

Experience and skills

• You have 7+ years of experience in the poultry or other parts of the poultry industry.

• You understand the concept of new applications development as well as the standard operational flows in the field.

• You have a deep understanding of the avian biology and life cycle.

• You have strong data science skills and can analyze, interpret and leverage valuable information out of various data sources.

• Driving License (Class B)

Leadership and Communication

• You are fluent in English.

• You leverage your critical thinking and analytical skills in decision-making.

• You are analytical, structured, and persistent, with excellent communication skills.

• You can provide leadership and mentorship to a team of business development professionals and scientists.

• You enjoy building collaborative relationships.
