THE TEAM AND ROLE

As an Operating Principal in the CEO Office , you will be part of Avelios’ Strategy & Operations team, working directly with our founders and leadership team on the company’s most critical strategic and operational priorities.

The team’s mission is to help Avelios scale efficiently by shaping company-wide strategy, solving complex operational challenges, and driving high-impact special projects. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of major strategic initiatives, helping transform ambitious objectives into measurable outcomes across the organization and building a highly performing Strategy & Operations function.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own major strategic initiatives end-to-end, from goal setting and evidence-based analysis to implementation, stakeholder alignment, and measurable business outcomes

• Proactively identify and solve organizational challenges to unlock efficient scaling, improve collaboration, and strengthen operational excellence across teams

• Lead and coach junior colleagues within cross-functional taskforces, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring the successful execution of strategic priorities

• Serve as a liaison between founders, leadership, and the broader organization, driving alignment, buy-in, and execution on company-critical initiatives

• Act as a strategic advisor to functional leaders, helping define scalable processes, operating models, and decision-making frameworks that support Avelios’ long-term growth

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in a high-performance environment such as a leading start-up/scale-up, top-tier consulting firm, venture capital fund, private equity fund, investment banking, or a similarly fast-paced organization

• Proven track record of independently driving complex, cross-functional initiatives and stakeholder-heavy projects from concept to successful execution

• Highly analytical and structured working style, with the ability to break down ambiguity into clear, MECE problem structures and derive evidence-based recommendations

• Excellent communication with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills and can confident steering of stakeholders through clear, top-down communication and logical reasoning

• Strong sense of ownership with a pragmatic, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset and collaborative team player with intellectual curiosity

• Fluency in both German and English (C1 level or higher)
