Senior Data Analyst (m/f/x)

What you can expect from us...

• Work in the central data team, alongside data engineers and analytics engineers, acting as the bridge between business needs and technical implementation
• Translate strategic goals from both the organization and our users into measurable KPIs and actionable insights
• Work directly with complex, cross-silo data: including web, app traffic, monetization/revenue streams, content performance, and other business metrics
• Design and implement tracking strategies using Snowplow Analytics, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to ensure reliable and meaningful event data
• Drive the development of dashboards and reporting (using Superset) that empower teams across BurdaForward to make data-informed decisions
• Take ownership of data quality and consistency across platforms and contribute to the optimization of our data architecture (Snowflake)
• Act as a strategic sparring partner for stakeholders—challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities, and framing problems analytically

What we would expect from you...

• 4–6+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or similar roles with a strong hands-on data background
• Proven experience defining KPIs and designing end-to-end analytics workflows—from event tracking to visualization and insight generation
• Fluency in SQL and deep experience working with modern data stacks (Snowflake, Snowplow, Superset or similar tools)
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics engineering practices
• Experience working with cross-functional product teams, ideally in a digital media or online business environment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly and influence decision-makers
• A curious mindset, business intuition, and a drive for impact
