THE COMPANY

As Mermec Deutschland GmbH, the German subsidiary of Compagnie des Signaux in France, part of the MERMEC Group, which operates worldwide, MERMEC Deutschland works closely with international teams and contributes to cross-border railway signaling and digitalization projects, particularly within the DACH region.

What we are looking for

As a QHSE Specialist , you will play a key role in supporting and developing Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental activities across MERMEC Deutschland. In this position, you will drive the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of QHSE processes and management systems across all operational and project-related tasks. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure full compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and company guidelines while actively fostering a strong quality and safety culture across the organization.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the Company’s Integrated Management System.

Support ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001 certifications.

HSE:

• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations
• Coordinate exchange with the site manager, customers, and other interested parties
• Collaborate with the HSE Manager from headquarter
• Perform inspection on site, assess risks, identify improvements, participate to the operational actions
• Perform incident investigation
• Ensure HSE reporting
• Plan and perform communication, trainings and awareness about HSE topics
• Promote a strong safety and environmental culture throughout the company

Quality:

• Establish and maintain the Project Quality System, including Quality Plans and specific Procedures
• Provide support to the project manager throughout the project life cycle and take part in defining the project organisation and project plans
• Interface (in collaboration with the project manager) with the customer, partners, suppliers and third parties on quality issues
• Participate in the management of customer complaints
• Work closely with the technical teams and provide support, particularly during design and development reviews.
• Carry out internal audits and occasional supplier audits.

Your Profile

• Completed studies or training in the field of occupational safety, environmental management, and quality
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality and HSE management on projects, ideally in a constrained and complex environment (aeronautics, railways, etc.)
• Good knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards
• Knowledge of SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Internal and supplier audit techniques
• Very good knowledge of German safety and environmental regulations
• Fluent in German and English
• Independent and structured working style; strong communication and organizational skills

Travel frequency:

Occasional business travel (approximately 1–5 trips per year, typically lasting up to 3 working days).
