Junior DevOps Engineer (m/f/d)

Our Platform Engineering team builds and operates the cloud infrastructure that powers Flix's services across Europe and beyond. We manage a Kubernetes-based platform on AWS and enable engineering teams to deploy and operate scalable, reliable applications. The team focuses on automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous improvement of our platform capabilities.

About the Role

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Automate infrastructure and operational workflows to improve efficiency and reliability
• Support API infrastructure, including API gateways and publishing APIs to external consumers
• Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and contribute to improving system reliability and recovery processes
• Collaborate with engineering teams and support them in using the platform effectively
• Continuously improve platform tooling, automation, and engineering practices
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support platform stability

About You

• At least 6 months of professional experience in software, platform, or infrastructure engineering
• Hands-on experience with Python
• Basic knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and shell usage
• Experience with containerization and interest in Kubernetes
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD concepts
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
• Fluent in English

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud platforms (e.g. AWS)
• Exposure to API infrastructure (e.g. API gateways, external API publishing)
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
• Interest in improving developer experience and platform usability
