Neuroimaging Intern or M.Sc. Thesis Student (m/w/d)

Scope of duties

We are seeking a motivated Neuroscience intern or M.Sc. thesis student to join the research group of Professor Martin Dichgans, investigating stroke and dementia mechanisms. Using high-resolution and frequent MRI data, this project focuses on the progression of cerebrovascular disease.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in neuroimaging research within a highly interdisciplinary and internationally research environemt under the supervision of Anna Dewenter, an expert in vascular neuroimaging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform systematic lesion ratings on MRI data
• Assess the temporal evolution and fate of imaging lesions
• Contribute to the evaluation of statistical and computational models investigating clinical disease progression

Our requirements

• Currently enrolled at a German university in Neuroscience or a related field (e.g., Cognitive Science, Biomedical Sciences)

• Strong interest in neuroimaging research
• Programming skills are desirable (e.g. R/Python), but not mandatory
• High attention to detail
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
