Founding Deployment Strategist

About the Role

A fast-growing, Y Combinator–backed enterprise AI startup (Seed stage) is hiring a Founding Deployment Strategist to lead its European expansion from Munich. This is a rare founding-team-level role that sits at the intersection of hands-on AI agent development, high-touch enterprise customer success, and team building.

You will work directly with the CEO to turn large enterprises into AI-native organizations — diagnosing opportunities, building and scaling AI agents, navigating executive stakeholders, and ultimately shaping the European team as the company grows. The company's platform is an agentic operating system for enterprises, enabling business users to build, orchestrate, and govern AI agents across complex workflows — no engineering expertise required.

This role is on-site in Munich. Native-level German is required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What You'll Do

• Own the European rollout end-to-end, partnering directly with the CEO on strategy and execution.

• Diagnose high-leverage AI opportunities within enterprise customers and prioritize the highest-value use cases.

• Build initial AI agents and workflows to demonstrate value quickly, then systematically scale adoption organization-wide.

• Run agent hackathons and coach C-suite stakeholders on AI transformation and rollout strategy.

• Navigate complex internal enterprise politics — identify champions, remove blockers, and build trusted relationships at all levels.

• Represent the voice of the customer to product and engineering, advocating for features and changes that unlock adoption.

• Hire, mentor, and shape the European team as the business scales.

• Drive commercial outcomes including renewals and expansion, with a sharp eye on revenue impact.

• Continuously automate your own workflows using the platform's AI agents — practice what you preach.

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Deep, hands-on experience shipping AI agents, workflows, or production ML/AI features in enterprise settings.

• Strong understanding of model selection, routing, evaluation design, data residency, and integration architecture for enterprise AI deployments.

• Demonstrated ability to drive adoption within large, complex organizations and manage renewals and expansion.

• Proven stakeholder management skills across executive and operational levels in enterprise customers.

• Experience building and leading cross-functional deployment teams, including hiring and mentoring.

• Native-level German proficiency and based in Munich (or fully committed to relocating).

• High ownership, high agency, low ego — a bias for action and rapid prioritization.

• Prior startup experience with a founding-operator or early-team mindset.

Nice to Have:

• Background at a top-tier consulting firm, enterprise technology company, or AI/SaaS scaleup.

• Experience in business automation, enterprise workflow tooling, or agentic AI platforms.

• Commercially sharp with direct influence over revenue outcomes (expansion, upsell, renewals).

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation details will be shared during the interview process and are competitive for a founding-level role at a well-backed Seed-stage AI startup. Equity participation is expected given the founding nature of the position.
