They will provide strategic counsel to clients, support business growth and play an important role in expanding the Policy & Access offering across Communications Europe.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex client challenges, working collaboratively across functions and geographies, and identifying opportunities to create greater impact. This role will suit an individual who combines intellectual curiosity with a passion for healthcare and enjoys working in highly integrated client environments.

  • Has experience leading client programmes or strategic initiatives within consultancy, pharmaceutical industry or related healthcare organisations.
  • Is intellectually curious and enjoys tackling complex healthcare challenges.
  • Is comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping clients navigate uncertainty.
  • Can build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates a proactive, growth-oriented mindset and the ability to identify opportunities beyond the immediate brief.
  • Brings excellent communication, analytical, research and consultancy skills.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines, functions and geographies.
  • Demonstrates an openness to emerging technologies, including the application of AI-enabled tools to enhance strategic thinking, client solutions and ways of working.

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Regional or global pharmaceutical policy and access programmes.
  • European healthcare policy, reimbursement and access environments.
  • Business development and organic growth.
  • Integrated communications, public affairs or market access consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with colleagues across the German Communications business to strengthen the Policy & Access expertise available to existing regional and global clients, enhancing the strategic value and breadth of our client offering.
  • Provide strategic counsel on healthcare policy, market access and health system challenges, drawing on German market expertise to support regional and global client programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across PR & External Affairs, Medical Communications, Advertising, Commercial, Clinical and other Syneos business units to develop integrated client solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for organic growth and contribute to new business development.
  • Help strengthen and expand the Europe-based Policy & Access practice through knowledge sharing, collaboration and innovation.
  • Monitor emerging healthcare policy and access developments across Germany and Europe and translate them into actionable client insight.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and capability development across Communications Europe.

Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships across the Syneos network and contribute to integrated client solutions.
  • Actively support collaboration across European and international teams.

Leadership

  • Develop and support team members to achieve their potential.
  • Contribute positively to the culture, reputation and long-term success of the practice.

Personal Development

  • Continue to build expertise, networks and leadership capabilities.
  • Develop a personal profile aligned to the growth ambitions of the practice and the wider Communications Europe business.
