Aufgaben

As a working student with us, you will:

• Support the development of backend services in Node.js/TypeScript (or Python, depending on the project).
• Help implement integration projects with third-party systems such as HL7, FHIR, hospital information systems, wearable APIs, and BI tools.
• Work on AI-related service integrations, including data preprocessing or connecting to AI model endpoints.
• Assist in maintaining and extending internal APIs, authentication flows, and backend infrastructure components.
• Collaborate closely with backend developers, product managers, and the data team to deliver high-quality features.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation efforts, and architectural discussions.
• Support troubleshooting, debugging, and continuous improvement of system reliability and performance.

Qualifikation

You are a strong fit if you:

• Are enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science or a related field.
• Have hands-on experience with Node.js, Python, or TypeScript (university projects, personal projects, or internships all count).
• Understand the basics of API development (REST, Webhooks).
• Are interested in system integrations, data pipelines, or medical IT interfaces.
• Bonus: have some exposure to AI or LLM integrations (e.g., model serving, vector search, LLM APIs).
• Enjoy solving technical challenges and learning new tools and technologies.
• Speak fluent English; German is a plus but not required.
• Can work up to 20 hours per week during the semester, with flexibility during exam periods.
