Account Director (FMCG), Munich

Purpose of the jobOur Account Directors are responsible for the development and nurturing of our client accounts. The role is essential in strengthening relationships with the client and identifying growth opportunities for the business, as well as ensuring solutions are developed and delivered on time and against operational and financial business targets.You will take full responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the account under your responsibility and manage the performance of the team, ensuring all work is completed in line with the SLA. You’ll be a capable leader who can focus on both the strategic vision of the account as well as the daily activities of delivering operational excellence. You'll need in-depth experience of working with clients and delivering ongoing solutions to resolve their challenges as well as the skills to develop client accounts, nurture relationships, convert opportunities and manage a team.The current areas of spend under management with this FMCG client are 2D / 3D Print and Temporary + Permanent Point of Sale Materials (POSM) solutions, Branded Merchandise and Creative Services.This role operates on a blended basis between the local HH Global office, client / vendor site(s) and home as necessaryPlease submit your resume / application in English.Key responsibilitiesPlay a leading role in the delivery of client satisfaction through client liaison and the management of internal resource departments, your client engagement team and external suppliersOwn and resolve issues, quality concerns or corrective actions - influence client thinking to produce outstanding results.Manage the ongoing personal development of your team members through appraisals, one‐to‐one meetings, mentoring and trainingDevelop effective account growth strategies and manage opportunities for the client, building yearly development plans and managing the overall financial performance and success of the accountRegular MI reporting, production of account relationship plans, risk identification and managementRelationship management with all key stakeholdersContract review and renewalKnowledge, skills + experienceExceptional and in-depth client service management experience, including time spent working on client site(s), developing and maintaining client relationships and across multiple vendorsExperience in 2D / 3D Print and Temporary + POSM + Branded Merchandise + Creative Service categories across the FMCG sectorHas built client success delivering account planning, client service plans, KPIs, budgeting, forecasting and strategic account leadershipPeople Management experience including performance management and team leadershipA proven track record of operational management for client services departments, P+L / budget management and account financial reportingSuccess presenting account planning and strategy for retention, growth and added value, anticipating internal / external business issues and developing risk mitigation strategiesExcellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation), with clarity of expression and the ability to present to and influence various stakeholder groups at all levels of seniorityGerman and English language skills#LI-EL1#EL-HybridPayTypeSalary
