People Operations Working Student (d/f/m)

Your Responsibilities

• Keep our People operations running: assist with administrative and organizational tasks across the People function, helping to keep priorities on track and internal processes running efficiently.
• Help build our HR system: own the setup of Personio as EBX's HR platform – from structuring employee data and documents to setting up workflows, templates, and recruiting processes.
• Shape how we develop our people: support setting up our Performance & Development process – review cycles, feedback formats, documentation, and the rollout to the team.
• Support payroll: prepare the monthly payroll – collect and check payroll-relevant data such as new joiners, leavers, changes and absences, and coordinate with our payroll provider.
• Run our onboarding: prepare everything for new joiners and be a first point of contact for their questions during their first days.
• Manage IT equipment: keep track of our device inventory and make sure devices are ready for handover or return.
• Support documentation: assist with office documentation, including contracts and supplier agreements.
• Organize team moments: support the coordination of internal events such as team gatherings or offsites - from venue research to RSVPs and travel bookings.
• Be a dependable point of support for ad hoc tasks that help the team and office operate smoothly.

Your Profile

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 3 semesters in Business, Psychology, HR Management or a related field, currently enrolled at a university in Germany.
• First experience as a working student or intern in HR Management, Office Management, Event Management or a related field.
• Reliable, analytical and highly structured working style.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English (C1/C2 level).

Skills to Set You Apart

• First hands-on experience with an HR tool such as Personio.
• Interest in building processes from scratch.

• You prefer clearly defined routines over building things that don't exist yet.
• You are uncomfortable switching between many different topics in a fast-moving setting.
