We are looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/d) with 1+ years of professional experience to join our growing data team. You will play a key role in building, scaling, and operating the data infrastructure that powers Europe’s largest e-bike refurbishment operations.

Das sind deine Aufgaben bei uns:

• Design, build, and maintain ETL and ELT data pipelines across ERP, leasing, e-commerce, and SaaS systems
• Develop and operate data workflows using Matillion and Apache Airflow in batch and near real-time
• Manage and optimize the data warehouse using Amazon Redshift with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Ensure high data quality through monitoring, logging, alerting, and automated failure handling
• Work hands-on with cloud infrastructure including S3, RDS, EC2, Lambda, and CloudWatch
• Collaborate closely with analytics, operations, product, and business stakeholders
• Contribute to internal tools and operational systems such as procurement, inventory, and reporting
• Take end-to-end ownership of data initiatives from idea to production

Dein Profil:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL or ELT concepts
• Strong SQL skills and industry-ready Python experience
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, with AWS preferred; experience with Google Cloud Platform or Microsoft Azure also works well
• Educational background in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a related field
• Motivated, confident, and proactive personality with a strong ownership and delivery mindset
• Fluent in English; Skills in German advantageous

Nice to Have

• Ability to start at short notice or ASAP
• Experience with Retool or other low-code or no-code tools
• Exposure to ERP systems and operational data
• Experience with Shopify, Shopware, or e-commerce platforms
• API development experience using FastAPI or similar frameworks
• Experience with GenAI, machine learning, or agentic AI solutions
