Au Pair

Hello. We're a Dutch/British couple living in Munich Germany with our 1 and a half year old son. We have a baby on the way (due at the beginning of April) and we'd like someone to be around for our son during the birth of our newborn. Ideally, we're looking for an EU citizen for around 3 months starting at the beginning of March 2026 but we're fairly flexible with the dates. We'd like some help with daycare drop off and pick up and generally spending time playing with our son while we adapt to life with the new baby. We'd also appreciate some help with light household tasks such as tidying up toys. If you are comfortable looking after the newborn, it would be nice for you to take her out for short walks in the pram/carrier. It would be great if you're comfortable cycling since we often take our son to and from daycare by bike. If you enjoy cooking, then you would be welcome to cook but it's not required. You would have your own room on the second floor of our house. We live in Munich but at the edge of the city. We will provide you with a public transport ticket so that you can go into the city during your time off if you like. There are many museums, cafes, restaurants, parks etc. in Munich that you can explore. You can reach the city centre in just over half an hour. Our neighbourhood is safe, quiet, and green. It is next to the forest if you like walks in nature. We have a white swiss shepherd dog who is very friendly and loves people so it is necessary that you are a dog lover! We are open-minded people who have lived in a different countries (Scotland/Netherlands/Italy/Switzerland/Germany) and we enjoy meeting people with different backgrounds and cultures. We used to hike a lot and still love to go to the mountains for short walks in our free time; you'd be welcome to join us if you like. It would be amazing if we could find a native German or Dutch speaker to improve our son's language skills but anyone who speaks English would also be fine. English is the first language in our home and I used to teach it as a foreign language so I would be happy to help improve your English skills if that's something you're looking for.
