AI Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission

As an AI Software Engineer at Checkmk, you will be at the forefront of developing intelligent, scalable backend solutions that redefine industry standards. You'll work closely with Product Management, QA, Security, and other development teams, bringing your expertise and ideas to the table.

We believe in collaboration and continuous improvement, working in 2-week sprints with regular planning, retros, and dailies:

• Integrate GenAI and LLM models to create helpful chatbots, generate natural language explanations, and provide actionable recommendations, enhancing product adoption and process efficiency
• Develop and implement AI-driven backend architectures, utilizing predictive monitoring and anomaly detection to proactively identify and address potential issues in our customers' IT
• Bring your ideas to life by contributing to new features and improving existing functionalities
• Continuously refine our development practices and processes to ensure a high-quality, user-friendly product
• Leverage your knowledge of Python and Linux to build robust and scalable applications
• Participate actively in our agile process, utilizing practices like TDD, CI/CD, and pair programming to deliver efficiently and effectively

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML and backend development with Python and a solid understanding of Linux
• Demonstrated expertise in AI and machine learning frameworks, emphasizing innovative problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus, as is experience with AWS, GitLab, JIRA, Playwright, FastAPI, and NextJS
• Strong grasp of complex challenges with a knack for delivering simple, effective solutions
• Friend of open source software
• Enjoy contact with customers and users
• Business fluency in English (written and spoken)
