Team Lead Software - Edge (f/m/d)

• Starting date: As soon as possible

• Yearly Salary: €90,000 - €100,000 (fixed range, annual gross)

• Equity: €40,000 - €80,000 in company shares

• Benefits: Up to €5,000 annually

• Work model: Full-time, Hybrid in Munich

• Travel: Occasional travel to customer site required

Your role

As leader of the Edge Software Team, you will spearhead the design and implementation of groundbreaking software solutions for Automated Industrial MRI . This is an opportunity to transform cutting-edge MRI technology from its traditional clinical roots into fully automated, high-impact industrial applications.

Your mission is to empower and guide a team of brilliant Software Engineers , fostering their growth and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. With your strategic vision, you will ensure our software development plans align perfectly with our ambitious business goals .

Your day to day

I n your daily activities, you will:

• Cultivate a team culture that encourages professional growth, knowledge sharing, and excellence.

• Develop a strategic hiring plan to attract and cultivate top-tier software engineering professionals .

• Champion the adoption of best practices in software engineering across teams within the Software Department and other Departments.

• Oversee the software design for Orbem’s edge devices and integrate solutions for industrial automation , ensuring time-efficient processing, seamless automation, and robust integration with external hardware components.

• Facilitate technical decisions to ensure software alignment with business requirements and objectives.

Technical Expertise

• Proven experience in developing, architecting and guiding software projects on scale in python.

• Thorough understanding of software development methodologies and the ability to deliver scalable, maintainable and efficient software systems.

• Experience with industrial automation software , and modern tools for software engineering, machine learning, and DevOps.

Leadership and business acumen

• Ability to foster a cohesive and motivated team environment that promotes growth.

• Ability to align software engineering goals with business requirements.

• Understanding of business processes and operations.
