Visit to learn how our innovative team is helping connect, protect and power our planet.Qorvo is seeking an experienced technical leader with solid RF design engineering background for our open Director position.Desired location is Munich, Germany.RESPONSIBILITIES:Leads teams in the design and development of highly innovative, industry-leading filter products and module solutions that meet customer specifications regarding performance, quality, support, and scheduleDrive technical excellence in RF filter design, and particularly in Bulk Acoustic Resonator (BAW) filters to be integrated in complex RF front-end modulesCoordinates design activities with other functions in operations to ensure the products are developed within an aggressive schedule to be first to marketEnsures the technical integrity of all design activities through adherence to Qorvo design processes, best practices, etc.Drives operational efficiency initiatives related to filter design and reductions in cycle time throughout design teamsWorks closely with R&D, facilitating rapid and trouble-free transition of new technologies into productsInterfaces with fab sites to minimize development material holds, improve yields, and improve design for manufacturability methodologies and approachesProvides direction to engineering staff; responsible for hiring, leading, developing and managing the performance of those reporting to this positionTalent and career development of the direct reports as well as the entire organizationDevelops an organization that values taking ownership and holds team accountable for performanceCollaborates closely with teams in the United States (Texas, Arizona, Florida, Massachusetts, Iowa, and North Carolina) as well as Spain.Expect to travel up to 10% of the time.Promotes a CPI (continuous process improvement) culture in Design Engineering as well as other cross-functional support areasDrives the use of AI (artificial intelligence) throughout the team to improve productivityQUALIFICATIONS:Proven expertise in the design, manufacturing, and testing of RF filters for integrated modulesStrong leadership and change management skills to lead teams through various change initiatives aimed at improving product quality and performanceExcellent interpersonal and people management skills to manage individual/team performance and motivation at different engineering career levelsAdvanced analytical skills to analyze problems and technical situations leading to optimal solutionsOrganizational skills to develop teams necessary to meet the group mission and interface with other units within the companyExcellent verbal and written communications skillsAbility to articulate technical information in presentation format in front of large audiences of internal and external customers5-10 years of experience in leading engineering teamsRF design management experience, preferably in the cellular handset marketProven track record of bringing new products to market#LI-NN1MAKE A DIFFERENCE AT QORVO We are Qorvo.
