That’s the power of plus.Job DescriptionAs a Data Scientist in Linear and Mixed Integer Optimization, you will join the Resource Planning Team and will contribute to crucial outbound logistics processes and systems in the company. This means our working language is English.These are some of the technologies, frameworks, and practices we use:Gurobi, PythonOracle, PostgreSQL, AthenaAmazon Web Services and TerraformCI/CD with Jenkins pipelinesDocker, KubernetesGrafana, KibanaResponsibilities:Design, develop and maintain linear optimization and mixed integer models and integrate them in productionAnalyze data, run simulations, and present actionable insights to stakeholders across engineering, product, and operations.Contribute to the full SDLC; from ideation and prototyping to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvementEnsure quality and performance of developed solutions through testing, validation, and monitoring in production.QualificationsRequirements:BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or another related field.3+ years of hands-on experience solving linear optimization and mixed-integer problems1+ years of experience with commercial solvers (preferably Gurobi) for building and solving optimization modelsSolid knowledge of advanced mathematical modeling techniques and experience with simulationsProficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.Knowledge of relational databases and query authoring (SQL)Practical experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queriesStrong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Experience with Forecasting algorithms will be a plus; willingness to learn is equally valuedTeam player with “can do” attitudeProactive in learning new skills and technologies, confident in challenging status quo to drive continuous improvementAdditional InformationHeadquartered in Munich, with offices across Madrid, Krakow, Wroclaw, London and Vienna, we collaborate because we genuinely love working together - so you’ll be at the heart of an incredible, multinational team.
