Senior Art Director

As a Senior Art Director, you will lead the creative vision and execution of high-impact projects, ensuring the highest level of creative excellence and brand consistency. You will work closely with a Creative Copywriter and other members of the Creative Department to develop innovative ideas for multi-channel campaigns, adhering to project schedules, and overseeing the completion of project executions for print, digital, websites, printed collateral, and presentation graphics. We are looking for a visionary leader who can inspire the team, create compelling concepts, and drive the creative process from ideation to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

Art Direction Competencies:

• Lead the development and execution of creative strategies, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives
• Generate original creative ideas and concepts to fulfil the client's brief, producing sketches, storyboards, or scamps to communicate ideas
• Oversee the final deliverable quality, ensuring the highest level of creative excellence and brand consistency
• Create conceptual branding concepts and designs, print ads, digital ads, website pages, social media campaign executions, trade show displays, and other collateral
• Collaborate with colleagues, vendors, and business partners on materials design and execution

Leadership and Professional Competencies:

• Maintain regular, high-level communication with the Creative Director and senior leadership, aligning on project vision and contributing to strategic discussions
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, offering clear, constructive feedback, and guiding team members in both formal and informal settings
• Mentor junior members of the team, fostering a constructive and creative work environment
• Lead brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas that push creative boundaries and elevate the quality of the final product
• Independently manage time to meet deadlines and handle multiple assignments simultaneously

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, consistent work with strong attention to detail

Qualifications / Experience

• A degree-level qualification or proven creative experience working in an advertising agency
• 6+ years of experience as an Art Director or Mid-weight Art Director in a similar agency environment
• Exceptional information presentation (visual and written) experience
• Highly proficient in design, typography, retouching, video, and motion
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Solid experience in working across a range of web layout/digital design projects
• Positive and collaborative attitude, with own team, wider organization, and external collaborators
• A deep passion for branding, content, and creative storytelling
• Strong artistic and creative abilities, with a keen eye for design and typography
• Strong creative POV with an understanding of business objectives
• Thorough knowledge of relevant and latest industry trends and practices
• The flexibility to adapt ideas to suit client expectations and their feedback efficiently
• Passion, enthusiasm, and integrity for producing outstanding creative work
• Fluent in German and English
