#WeAreIn for jobs that impact everyone's life.What if your ideas could change the way the world connects, powers up, or thinks?As a Senior Staff Engineer Automation & Digitalization for IP Development on our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life.Are you in?Your roleKey responsibilities in your new roleDrive the automation and digitalization strategy for I/O library developmentOwn and prioritize the technical backlog in an Agile environment, ensuring alignment with technology roadmaps, project milestones, and business objectivesDefine, develop, and deploy scalable automation solutions that improve layout development efficiency, design quality, and engineering productivityCollaborate closely with layout, design, CAD, and technology teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust automation workflowsDevelop software tools and automated processes to support library development, design-system integration, validation, and release activitiesAnalyze complex engineering challenges and transform them into scalable, maintainable, and reusable software solutionsIntegrate new methodologies, tools, and technologies into existing IC design environments and development flowsDrive continuous improvement initiatives by reducing manual effort, increasing standardization, and improving development scalabilityEnsure high standards of software quality through testing, CI/CD practices, documentation, and maintainable software architectureSupport release readiness through structured planning, validation, monitoring, and risk assessmentAct as a technical leader and trusted partner, influencing automation roadmaps, engineering methodologies, and best practices across the organizationYour profileQualifications and skills to help you succeed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldAt least 5 years of experience in semiconductor design automation, layout automation, custom layout development, CAD engineering, or related semiconductor disciplinesStrong programming expertise in Python; experience with Perl, Tcl, and shell scripting is an advantageGood understanding of semiconductor technologies, custom layout methodologies, and IC development flowsExperience working with semiconductor layout data, physical design concepts, and engineering deliverables used throughout the design flowExperience with EDA tools and automation frameworks in semiconductor environmentsAbility to bridge semiconductor domain knowledge and software engineering to deliver practical and impactful solutionsFamiliarity with Agile software development methodologies and modern software engineering practicesStrong analytical and system-level thinking with a structured approach to problem solvingExcellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and global teamsSelf-driven mindset with a passion for automation, innovation, and continuous improvementDemonstrated leadership potential and the ability to drive technical initiatives across organizational boundaries#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.As a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
