Senior Engineer - Intelligent Vehicle Dynamics Controls (m/f/d)

We are seeking a skilled candidate in I ntelligent Vehicle Dynamics for vehicle stability, handling, and performance for human and Autonomous Driving Solution (ADS) features. In this role, you will be at the forefront of integrating advanced artificial intelligence with classical vehicle dynamics. You will be responsible for designing, simulating, and deploying cutting-edge control and estimation solutions for next-generation vehicles.

Your mission

· Leverage Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques to enhance traditional control strategies. This includes developing AI-based state estimators and supervised learning/reinforcement learning-based controllers.

· Implement and tune advanced control strategies such as advanced/adaptive/robust control methods, complementing them with AI-driven insights.

· Drive innovation in vehicle dynamics control with a specific focus on Autonomous Vehicles utilizing AI to tackle complex non-linear estimation problems.

· Create high-fidelity vehicle dynamics and control models using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or C++. Visualize and present the resulting performance metrics and advantages of AI-enhanced systems to stakeholders.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, as well as suppliers and external partners, to ensure seamless integration from concept to production.

Your areas of expertise

· Master’s or higher degree (PhD preferred) in Artificial Intelligence, Automotive Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field, with a strong focus on AI, vehicle dynamics, or robotics.

· 6+ years of experience in developing and deploying AI-based (supervised learning / reinforcement learning) decision-making and control systems for vehicles or robotics.

· Proven expertise in designing and deploying control algorithms for control optimization integrating AI methods is highly desired.

· Proficiency in Python/ C/C++/MATLAB/Simulink or related tools for modeling and simulation.

· Strong communication capabilities. Ability to make the planned deliverables happen under pressure.

· Enthusiastic about working as part of our international team. Fluent communication skills in English are required.

· Willing to travel to China (about 20% of time).
