The Role

Corintis is scaling its cold plate production through a manufacturing network across Europe and Asia. Our partner site in Germany is one of the cornerstones of that network and we are establishing a permanent Corintis presence there.

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you are Corintis on that site. You own the manufacturing process chain end to end: the industrialization of new process steps, the process windows, control plans and work instructions that come out of them, the process capability roadmap, the installation and qualification of our new production line, and the build plans and delivery commitments that depend on all of it. You are the single point of contact between the partner's operations team and Corintis engineering, quality and supply chain, and the person empowered to decide on site when a decision cannot wait.

You will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and work daily with Hardware Development, Quality, Supply Chain and NPI. Success in this role is measured in process capability, yield and schedule: a qualified, statistically stable line delivering cold plates that our customers accept.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Corintis' resident manufacturing process owner at our contract manufacturing partner

• Own the build program end to end

• Drive the industrialization of new process steps at the partner

• Lead the on-site process capability plans on the parameters that define our product performance

• Own process monitoring and continuous improvement on the line

• Own the additive manufacturing and sintering process chain on site

• Provide permanent technical presence through the new production line installation and ramp

• Manage the operational side of the partnership

• Run the on-site quality loop

• Build the operating rhythm of the program

• Grow and later lead a small local Corintis support team on site as volumes increase
  

Requirements

• 8+ years in process or manufacturing engineering in a precision manufacturing environment

• Proven track record of owning a process at a contract manufacturer

• Hands-on experience industrializing new technologies

• Strong command of process and quality engineering tools, used personally and not only reviewed

• Ability to be the customer's face on someone else's shop floor

• Comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, away from headquarters, with a strong reporting line back to Lausanne

• Based in Germany or willing to relocate close to the partner in Cologne/Bonn area, or to be resident there on a part-time basis with frequent travel

• Professional working English; German is a strong advantage

• Working knowledge of metal additive manufacturing and/or sintering-based processes is expected

• Degree in mechanical, materials, manufacturing or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience

• You are direct and factual in difficult conversations, and you can hold a partner to a commitment without breaking the relationship

• You value working in a fast-moving environment where the process you are industrializing is still being invented

• You prefer working fully remotely

• You are looking for a stable, fully defined process to run rather than one that is still being industrialized and will change under you

• You prefer highly structured corporate environments with fixed processes and long decision cycles
