What you'll do

• Leading and developing a high-performance software engineering team across several product lines.
• Coaching and mentoring of engineering leads as well as professional and personal development of technical leaders.
• Responsibility for technical excellence: initiating and managing measures to improve code quality, scalability, sustainability and efficiency.
• Close collaboration with key areas such as Product Management, IT Operations and Consulting to ensure smooth and effective interaction.
• Representing Software Engineering in business strategy discussions and ensuring technical alignment with business goals.
• Optimizing technical processes and tool landscapes to support scalable and sustainable growth.
• Taking on strategic projects with high technical relevance in direct cooperation with the CTO.
• Promoting an agile corporate culture and actively exemplifying modern management and working principles. 

What you'll need

• Degree in computer science, software engineering or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in software development (at least 5 years), including at least 2 years in a managerial position with leadership span over teams and/or managers.
• Deep technical understanding of modern software architectures, development processes and technology stacks.
• Experience in agile, cross-functional teams with a focus on product development.
• Strong communication and coaching skills - at eye level with developers as well as leaders.
• Strategic thinking and analytical approach to combine technical and business decisions.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Proven willingness for continuous development and openness to new technologies and methods.
