Senior Expert - Wireless AI Research

Huawei Heisenberg Research Center (Munich) is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

The Advanced Wireless Technologies Lab (AWTL) is responsible for research activities towards the definition and development of future mobile network technologies and communication systems. AWTL has been engaging with multiple research and standardization activities, including participating to European Commission funded research projects of Horizon 2020 framework, contributing to industrial communication fora as 5G-AA, 5G-ACIA, transferring technologies to standardization bodies like 3GPP, ETSI, GSMA, NGMN, and developing in-house experimental platforms, prototypes and proof of concepts on wireless and networking technologies. Recently, AWTL focus has shifted to next generation (6G) wireless networks and technologies, towards 2030.

Your mission

• A leading expert in new wireless AI technologies

• Responsible for 6G wireless AI key technology research

• Focus on wireless AI theoretical innovations and technological research to make significant improvements in wireless air interface performance or new wireless network capabilities, supporting continued product competitiveness

• Technical insights on trends and new theory of wireless AI in the evolution of next-generation wireless networks, and build key technology research capabilities

• Build in-depth cooperation with key operators, vertical key industry partners and academic institutions

• Build wireless AI research team and stimulate team innovation vitality

• Promote the new wireless technologies in relevant research and standards organizations such as 6G IA, ETSI, 5GAA, 5GACIA

Your areas of expertise

• PhD degree in Telecommunications or other related discipline

• Extensive knowledge in mobile communication systems

• Extensive knowledge in AI technologies

• Experience in Telecommunications or AI domain

• Team-work spirit, independent working and quick learn capability, as well as hands-on and can-do attitude

• Fluent in written and spoken English
