Huawei Heisenberg Research Center (Munich) is responsible for advanced technology research, architectural development, design and strategic engineering of our products.

As a Senior Data Center Network Solution Test Engineer within the Test and Reliability organization, you shall be responsible for design and implementation of datacenter network Solution Test frameworks across different verticals by focusing on Huawei customers in Europe. This role requires deep technical expertise in testing and debugging E2E Datacenter network solutions to ensure the performance and quality of Huawei product portfolio.

Your mission

• Responsible for building Huawei IP&IT eco-chain system, through cooperation integration and advance analysis of industry application in Huawei's IP&IT products (Server, Storage, Firewall, Data center, High Performance Computing, etc.).

• Define test design methodology including test strategy and test plans for Data Center Network/Cloud Fabric solutions.

• Collaborate with Customers, R&D and 3rd party solution providers to translate business and technical requirements into repeatable and consistent test cases.

• Unite partners to innovate and incubate solutions for key industries such as Finance/ISP/ Big Enterprise/Manufacturing.

• Responsible for horizontal best practices (LAN/WAN experience, VMware or other virtualization experience, data communication TCP/IP network solution design and deployment, etc.), industry joint program design and testing, cooperation project management, and external cooperation strategies.

Your areas of expertise

• Bachelor’s degree or above.

• More than 3 years of relevant test design experience working in the network area.

• Strong willingness to learn new knowledge.

• Hands-on experience with mainstream SDN of Data Center solution is preferred.

• Hands-on experience with Routing and Switching is a basic. Feature understanding of BGP EVPN VXLAN, Mc-Lag, QOS, multicast, 1588v2 preferred.

• Hands-on experience with basic network troubleshooting.

• HCIE- R&S/CCIE-R&S or some other equal level certificates preferred

• Good Chinese or German or French language skills preferred.

• Virtualization experience with VMware(ESXi, vCenter). Openstack, k8s capability is preferred.

• Having knowledge of RDMA/ ROCE/ Infiniband knowledge is a plus.

• Very Good understanding of one or more of following technologies:

  • Tools: Spirent Test Center/Ixia Network

  • Products : Switch / Firewall / Router /Data Center

  • Operating System: Windows/Linux system

• West Europe Region short-term travels are required.

• Has the experience and Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
