Member of Commercial Staff

About the Role

A fast-moving energy software startup is looking for a proactive Member of Commercial Staff to help grow and support its expanding customer base. You'll work closely with the commercial team to build lasting customer relationships, deepen product and market knowledge, and own the full customer lifecycle — from onboarding through to ongoing satisfaction and long-term value creation.

This is an early-stage opportunity at a lean, ambitious team operating at the intersection of industrial battery storage, AI-driven optimization, and European energy markets. If you're energized by complex, evolving markets and want real commercial ownership from day one, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

• Build and manage relationships with new and existing customers, acting as a trusted point of contact throughout their journey

• Develop deep expertise in the product, the industrial energy storage market, and the specific needs of customers

• Own and continuously optimize the customer lifecycle — from smooth onboarding to ensuring maximum satisfaction and retention

• Identify opportunities to deepen customer engagement and generate additional value

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and technical teams to relay customer feedback and insights

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 2+ years of experience in a business, commercial, or customer-facing role

• Strong communication and relationship-management skills — you're comfortable owning conversations with customers independently

• Ability to develop and apply product, market, and customer insights to drive decisions

• Genuine curiosity about energy markets, regulatory developments, and the evolving landscape of renewable energy and storage

• A self-starter mindset — you thrive in fast-paced, less-structured environments and don't need a playbook to get started

Nice to have:

• Background in or strong interest in energy, cleantech, or industrial SaaS

• Experience at an early-stage startup or in a high-ownership commercial role

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: €70,000 – €100,000 per year

• Visa sponsorship available

This role is based on-site in Munich, Germany . Candidates should be located in or willing to relocate to Munich.
