Reporting directly to the IT Global Director, this full-time position is based in Munich . As IT Manager, you'll be an integral part of the site team - the go-to person for all IT-related challenges and projects, ensuring seamless operations across both cities and working closely with local teams and leadership.
Are you the ideal Mindspacer?
You have solid hands-on IT experience and know your way around networks, hardware, AV and security systems. You communicate clearly - with technical peers and non-technical users alike - and you follow through on what you take on. You work well independently, manage your time effectively, and stay level-headed when things need fixing fast. Familiarity with the startup ecosystem is a plus; comfort in a fast-moving, multi-site environment is a must.
What you'll do
- Manage and maintain IT infrastructure across Berlin and Munich sites (networks, VLANs, switches, MX devices and printers)
- Provide technical support and clear guidance to members and employees, translating the technical into the understandable
- Maintain conference room AV systems, CCTV, security systems and access controls
- Plan, organise and deliver IT projects on time and within budget
- Manage vendor and service provider relationships, including contract negotiation
- Develop documentation and training materials as needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues efficiently - and build solutions so they don't recur
- Stay aligned with global IT policies and keep stakeholders informed clearly and proactively
- Collaborate with other departments to understand and address their IT needs
REQUIREMENTS
What we need from you
- 3-4 years of helpdesk or deskside support experience
- Strong hardware troubleshooting skills
- Excellent English and German communication skills, including with non-technical users
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10, macOS, Google Workspace and Office 365 administration
- Experience maintaining network computing environments and coordinating tasks across teams
- Familiarity with MDM/EDR solutions and cybersecurity systems
- Cisco Meraki experience is a strong plus
- Experience working in a global organization is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, but not required
