What you'll do

• Architect forward-looking data and AI strategies across Knauf Digital’s commercial landscape—spanning sales, marketing, and service excellence—driving cross-functional collaboration to elevate data quality, accessibility, and intelligent automation
• Define the vision and long-term roadmap for strategic data and AI capabilities, ensuring alignment with business goals while enabling scalable, insight-driven digital products
• Provide transformative leadership by setting clear expectations, fostering agile, AI-literate teams, and cultivating an inclusive environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning
• Establish and enforce robust data and AI governance frameworks grounded in data mesh principles, working closely with Group IT to enable federated ownership, interoperability, and ethical use of data
• Collaborate across the Group to ensure data and AI initiatives are aligned with Knauf’s long-term ambitions, supporting talent development and the delivery of high-impact solutions

Who you are

• A visionary with a keen eye for emerging data and AI technologies, ideally bringing experience in commercial or customer-facing domains. While knowledge of sales and marketing data is a bonus, it’s not a must-have
• Equipped with a solid foundation in data governance and harmonization, you know how to apply these principles effectively in fast-paced and evolving business environments
• Renowned for your ability to simplify complex data and AI concepts, you craft compelling narratives that resonate with both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders alike
• A proven leader, you inspire teams and drive organizational change, fostering a culture that embraces data- and AI-driven practices
• Strategic thinking comes naturally to you, along with a talent for long-term planning, team development, and resource management. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA is an added advantage
