You will assist with project planning, reporting, time and budget tracking, and quality management activities, helping ensure projects are executed in a structured, transparent, and consistent way. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in project management within a global services organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support Customer Program Managers in the day‑to‑day execution of customer projects across Fixed Data, Maritime and Global Government verticals in different regions and time zones
• Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating project plans, schedules, and key project documentation
• Support time tracking, budget tracking, and basic financial reporting for customer projects
• Support financial reconciliation of project financials, including basic checks between planned vs. actuals, and highlighting discrepancies to the project team
• Help prepare internal and customer‑facing project reports, dashboards, and status updates
• Support the VP Customer Program Transformation with internal management reporting for the customer project portfolio, including data preparation, consolidation, and portfolio‑level insights
• Support quality management activities, including checklist tracking, document completeness, and milestone readiness
• Assist with project governance activities such as meeting preparation, minutes, action tracking, and follow‑ups
COMPETENCIES
• Foundational understanding of project management concepts (e.g. project life cycle, milestones, schedules, risks, time and cost tracking), with an interest in learning formal methodologies such as PMI or Agile
• Strong analytical and structured working style, with the ability to work with project data, identify inconsistencies, and flag risks or gaps to the project team
• Attention to quality and detail, supporting quality checks, completeness of documentation, and readiness for project milestones
• Ability to follow and apply defined processes, templates, and governance standards, and support their consistent use across projects
• Comfort working with numbers and basic financial data, supporting reconciliation of project financials, time bookings, and planned vs. actuals tracking
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear status updates, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively in a global, cross‑functional team, collaborating with project managers, engineering, operations, and service teams
• Curiosity and willingness to learn technical concepts, particularly related to service delivery, technology‑driven projects, and customer implementations
• Proactive and reliable mindset, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and support a fast‑paced project environment
• Language: Fluent English (written and spoken) required; additional languages a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Management, or related programs (e.g. LMU, TUM, Hochschule München or comparable universities).
• Strong interest in project management, service delivery, or operations within a global organization
• Basic academic exposure to project management concepts, business processes, or controlling / financial analysis
• Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and presentations (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent)
• First exposure to project management tools or collaboration platforms (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, SharePoint, or similar) is an advantage but not required
• Interest in processes, structure, and continuous improvement, with the ability to work in a disciplined and detail oriented way
• Previous internship, student job, or university project experience in a project, PMO, business operations, or analytical role is a plus
• Exposure to technology driven environments (e.g. IT, telecommunications, engineering projects) is beneficial but not mandatory
