Senior Development Engineer ASIC Characterization (m/f/d)

Turn silicon into insight—lead end‑to‑end mixed‑signal ASIC characterization and drive the next generation of high‑performance chips.

Tasks

• You take technical responsibility for the characterization of mixed-signal ASICs, covering analog circuits, digital logic and high-speed interfaces.
• You plan and execute comprehensive characterization campaigns to validate performance across all relevant operating conditions.
• You independently design, set up, perform and continuously optimize laboratory measurements to obtain accurate silicon data.
• You analyze the relationships between circuit design, process technology and measurement results to gain insight into block behavior.
• When measurement data diverges from simulation results, you carry out systematic debugging and root-cause analyses and develop suitable solutions.
• You develop and document new measurement methods, standards and best practices, automate test and data-analysis workflows using Python, MATLAB or similar tools, and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Qualifications

• You hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics or a closely related discipline.
• You bring several years of hands-on experience in mixed-signal ASIC characterization.
• You have deep expertise in analog and digital circuit design, high-speed interfaces such as ADC/DAC and SerDes, as well as signal-integrity measurement methods.
• You are able to independently set up, run and interpret complex laboratory measurements using equipment such as oscilloscopes, arbitrary waveform generators, source-measure units and high-frequency measurement tools.
• You have strong experience in automating measurements and analyzing data with Python, MATLAB or similar environments.
• You approach complex technical problems in a structured way, develop robust solutions independently, show a strong sense of ownership and quality and communicate fluently in English. German skills are a plus.
