Associate / Investment Manager @ b2venture Fund

b2venture's Fund Team is looking for an Associate or Investment Manager (m/f/d) to join our team at the earliest opportunity. The specific role level will be determined based on your experience and qualifications.

Tasks

Our mission:

• Join us in our mission to identify and invest in the non-obvious at the earliest stages

Your role:

• Active deal sourcing and screening of new investment opportunities
• Preparation of industry research to form new investment hypotheses
• Joint responsibility for the investment process (business identification, evaluation, due diligence activities and legal terms negotiation)
• Support in portfolio management (this will include supporting the senior team with their board governance tasks and help monitor operating milestones in the investment portfolio as well as translating company performance into clear insights for our limited partners)
• Represent b2venture at local and international events and conferences

Requirements

Your Profile:

Required Qualifications:

• You have an excellent academic track record
• You have 2 - 4+ years of relevant work experience, including in entrepreneurial environments (in a startup, tech company or similar) or a Venture Capital Fund
• You are a digital native, naturally curious and love to check out new products and technologies, which can impact the way we live and work – while considering yourself a bit of a truffle hunter
• You are a self-starter, able to work independently, and take initiative
• You are a team player with a strong work ethic, humility, a can-do attitude, and a collaborative mindset
• You combine a structured mind and strong analytical skills with the ability to think originally
• You are curious with a deep willingness to learn. Not everyone knows everything. You are comfortable with that and willing to put the work in to learn new things
• You are a strong communicator, consummate networker and relationship builder
• You are fluent in spoken and written English and German. Any third language is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical i.e. Engineering Background
• Coding / Programming Skills
• Developed certain domain expertise
